Should I clean or bleach my fence before staining it?

A fence has to be clean and fully dry before it’s stained, or the stain won’t soak in evenly and will peel early. Gray, weathered wood is cleaned first so the stain can reach fresh wood fibers. We take care of the prep as part of the job.

How often should a wood fence be stained in Texas?

Sun and heat break stain down faster here than in milder climates, so plan on restaining every few years, or when the wood starts to look gray and dry. Two good coats, like we apply, last longer than one.
